Latest Xplore buyer review
Hi we collected our Xplore 504 SE on 25th March having upgraded from the 2010 452 version. Whilst there are a number of improvements (including the fixed bed which was the main point of going bigger!) I think there are a few minor points Elddis have got wrong and one biggy! The biggy is the heating! The Whale underfloor heater in my opion is a step backward for the following reasons:- 1. No longer can I get a quick warm up by using both gas and electric at the same time. 2. The versatility to have high heat and low fan speed is now non existent. 3. There are no longer any blown air outlets at the front end (indeed the mid way one under the wardrobe just blows hot air at the fridge???) During the cold spring weather we have been having I have had to supplement with a 2kw fan heater most evenings - sometimes even through the night as the quiet fan setting for nightime running is only 0.5kw - if you want 2kw then get out your earplugs!! I just hope that end of May weather improves as I have booked a non electric pitch at Belvoir for the Caravan Club national meet! Not sure how the gas will cope with that only having a single fan setting!! Improvements we like are the positive catches on all the cupboards and the front 12v corner lights. The build quality is very good considering it is the Elddis entry level range. Maybe we will have to save some more pennies and move up to something with the Alde water heating as everyone tells me it is superb:-) NOTE FROM ELDDIS: Dear Barry, thank you for your feedback (both on here and on Facebook). We have taken immediate action and spoken to Whale, who in turn are trying to contact you to help resolve these heating issues and arrange to visit you and your caravan should it be necessary. Assuring you of our best service at all times, Elddis.Latest Xplore buyer review
Our new Xplore 504 ticks all the boxes for us, with more light from the one-piece window at the front and plenty of room in the rear bathroom. We're very impressed with the level of finishings.Latest Affinity buyer review
Yes, we love our Affinity 530. We are just awaiting a replacement grill fan to be fitted. Everything else works for us - space in the bathroom fantastic, great meals coming out of the large prep area, comfortable dining space. In all, a good choice!Latest Avante buyer review
After much deliberation and looking at lots of Manufacturers we decided to purchase an Elddis Avante 636. This caravan is built well and looks great and is so spacious, with a large end bathroom. We opted for this layout as it best suited our needs as we have 2 girls, aged 11 and 8. We have taken it out twice and have been impressed how it towed and preformed. The Avtex TV and aerial are so easy to setup and use and have so far we've had a really good picture on both outings. We have used the Whale space heater a lot due to the great british weather (!) and it keeps the van really warm with little noise, as it is mounted outside. The fridge freezer is so large it will be ideal for longer trips abroad with a large freezer compartment too. A microwave and oven also make the kitchen area a pleasure to work in. The end bathroom has a shower which I - at 6ft 4 inch - find comfortable to use, with plenty of room. The double dinette means all four of us can sit and have a meal comfortably, which also turns into a double bed.The front seating area makes up to a massive double bed with ample room for two. One of the great advantages is the interior height of 6ft 5 inch which you don't find in a lot of caravans. All in all, this is a well thought out van, built to a high standard, using quality parts.Latest Crusader buyer review
Having recently taken delivery of a new Elddis Crusader Cyclone, we are absolutely delighted with the storage space, equipment levels and the overall build quality. Having previously owned an older generation Crusader Mistral (which was also great), our new caravan ticks all the boxes. Brilliant!
