    Took delivery of our Elddis Odyssey 540 in December 2009 which is the 2010 spec. What a very good caravan it is. It has met all our expectations. The layout is very good with a lovely shower and plenty of storage space. The memory foam mattress has been very good as well. Apart from one or two niggles which will be sorted at the service date we have had no major problems. Build quality has been very good. It is also a delight to tow even in winds. Well done Elddis - a very good caravan indeed. It will be hard to improve it !!!

    What a great van the 540 is. We bought the van July 13 2009. A 2009 Model but 2010 interior spec. We had looked at the Bailey Sancerre but the finish in the Odyssey is so much better. The double fixed bed is a delight, wonderful mattress - very comfy. Shame about the poor kitchen lighting (strip light) but copable, otherwise my wife and I love the van. It's our second Elddis. We had a 542L before and now enjoy this well laid out and excellent end washroom - lovely. Great Van.

    We have waited 12 months for Elddis to produce this layout, and on the whole we are very pleased with the van, its build quality and overall finish.The new bathroom layout is brilliant, and the LED lighting is very good. Initially it was strange to discover that there are no 240 volt lights, but this suits us because we rally all year round.
    We have just part exchanged our 2007 Compass Omega 544 which we were very pleased with.We feel that some corners are being cut to save the odd penny, for example the curtain rails are not long enough to allow the material to cover the windows and the blind framework can still be seen when curtains are closed . The small useless corner shelves above the bed are not level.
    I loved the privacy dark windows and the better quality alloy wheels on the previous Odyssey models - these now only remain on the Crusader Model range.

    The new Odyssey 540 is definitely the best van we have stayed in. Other manufacturers make the same layout but when we looked at them all we thought the Odyssey washroom was better thought out than the Bailey and we love the interior quality of the Odyssey range. The memory foam mattress is a great addition an makes for a great nights sleep. The only negative is the lack of an plug socket in the rear bedroom area but thats only a minor issue as the other sockets are close by.
