As the Elddis Owners Club Equipment Officer I have been caravanning in various Elddis caravans for about 28 years now and this is our 8th Elddis van as a family. What really impressed us was the feeling of space that the Avante 626 layout achieves. The rear fixed bed means there isn't any late night bed making after the socials we attend as part of rallying with the Club. We have 2 children who sleep on the two front 6" beds and they love the daytime living area that this layout provides, using the side dining area for colouring and board games. The kitchen is the most user friendly we have had yet, with lots of worktop area and the quality of equipment and fixings very apparent. The storage offered in the 626 is just vast with all the overhead lockers and the huge area under the fixed bed. The seating, which is sprung, is very comfortable. All in all, we really can't find any faults or worries with this van and can see many years of rallying and holidays in the future.

We both went to NEC caravan show at the end of 2009 to look around - not to get a caravan as we had one already. Looking around the caravan stands we came across the Avante 626 with our perfect layout for the two of us, my daughter and granddaughter. We ordered one straight away and took delivery of it in December and apart from the cooker not having an automatic electric ignition we are very very happy with the caravan and would strongly recommend the 626 to anyone.

Really like this caravan. Great space inside. Find it easy to tow. Have rated it four stars because, I cannot understand why Elddis decided not to include the spark ignition, to the gas hob, in this model. We had this feature in out previous Avante, seems strange not to have been included in this one.

I have to say all in all I and my family are really impressed with the Avante 626. We had a 2007 Avante 556 and really enjoyed the van. The 626 has vast storage and the fixed bed is fantastic. The build quality is very good but i have to mark it down on a couple of areas, Elddis why oh why have you removed the spark ignition for the cooker - this is a major backward step. Also why do you not fit an alarm as standard? Our 556 had a showpack with an alarm included should be standard nowadays. I would recommend the van but these 2 items do need addressing by the manufacturer!!!!
