We have been camping for a number of years starting with tents and moving on to a Pennine Sterling folding camper wich has been great until this year . We started looking at caravans and after several visits to caravan centres, we decided to purchase a new Elddis Xplore 544 . It's sold as a budget caravan, but we have found the build quality and the general layout to be very good indeed. We have been away several times with our two children - one 7, the other 4, and had no problems. All in all we're very pleased and would recommend it as a very good caravan .

Bought this, our first caravan, earlier this year. The layout is great, the bed is comfortable, and we like the relatively spacious area around the door/kitchen at the centre of the van.

Love the van.
However a few minor problems, such as kitchen sink tap pipes were only hand tight and therefore leaked.
Overall we are very pleased with the 544. It may be budget range but only time will tell how well it lives up to the general wear and tear of family use for the next few years.
I would have given it 5 stars if the front pelmet had of been finished to a better standard.
