Elddis sponsors 12-day John O'Groats to Lands End charity run

Elddis is delighted to announce that we are sponsoring Beccy Davis' Jhooming JoGLE challenge.

Beccy Davis, 30 year old mother of two and keep-fit fanatic from West Sussex is an experienced long-distance runner. But on 25th May, she will attempt a charity mission of epic proportions. For whilst most of us here at Elddis HQ would balk at the idea of completing even a marathon, Beccy will endeavour to run the 874 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in just 12 days, averaging a mind-blowing 70 miles per day.

Beccy aims to raise in excess of £10,000 for her two chosen charities, Cancer Research UK and Mind. And as she races from one extremity of the UK to the other, additional fundraising events will be led by Just Jhoom! the Bollywood fitness craze co-founded by Beccy and whose name gives itself to the Jhooming JoGLE challenge.

Elddis will be supplying Beccy and her support team with an Autoquest 165 motorhome, which will prove crucial to the success of the JoGLE challenge. For whilst Beccy will be pounding the pavements for 18-20 hours per day, the Elddis Autoquest will provide transport and accommodation for Beccy's dedicated support team.

The Autoquest will enable Beccy to receive physio and massage during the day and provide a cosy and comfortable bed to recover each day. The Autoquest will also provide a home-from-home for Beccy's team to download data, update her blog and prepare food as they wait for her to complete each mammoth stage.

Beccy explains the importance of Elddis supplying one of our award-winning Autoquest motorhomes: "The logistics of planning an 850 mile run have been difficult, but when Elddis came on board as a sponsor they solved our problems of transport, accommodation and finding space throughout the day for physio all at once by supplying us with the Autoquest 165.

"I chose Elddis as I knew their reputation for quality would ensure we had a vehicle we can rely on and somewhere my crew can relax in comfort whilst I'm out on the road. With the support of Elddis I can now just concentrate on running and raising as much money for my charities as I can.”

All the money raised by Beccy's Jhooming JoGLE challenge will help Beccy's chosen charities, so please donate if you can and help make Jhooming JoGLE a success by spreading the word!
