The Elddis Aspire range triumphed again last night, winning the illustrious title of ‘Best Coachbuilt for Four’ in Practical Motorhome’s Motorhome of the Year Awards.
In this, the third annual Motorhome of the Year Awards – sponsored by Whale - Practical Motorhome selected the very best of all new models launched in 2012 and stringently tested those shortlisted.
Beating off stiff competition, the Elddis Aspire 265 scooped the title of ‘Best Coachbuilt for Four’, firmly establishing its position as the Brit brand offering true luxury as standard at an unbeatable price.
Practical Motorhome’s team of experts reported: “Elddis wasn’t messing around when it launched the Aspire range in an attempt to muscle in on the UK’s mid-market motorhome sector. Elddis has been known for its excellent budget motorhomes, but the Aspire range was a different beast altogether: a mid-range ‘van with luxury design and facilities.
“Aspires also boast equipment levels previously unprecedented at this price … since (its launch in 2010), rivals such as Bailey have entered the fray, and the Swift Group has upgraded its mid-range Bolero models with Alde heating. Despite this, Elddis Aspires remain a very attractive proposition (…) Despite rivals’ efforts, they’ve triumphed again.”

But what is it that makes the Elddis Aspire so different, so desirable? The aesthetic appeal of the Aspire is immediately obvious – the striking and sporty-looking, streamlined silver sided exterior with sharp decals and glossy black windows is a definite head-turner. Inside, the contemporary design continues with contrasting ‘Boston Walnut’ craftsman-built cabinetry and feature curved cream doors.
Class-leading and highly innovative features come as standard, not as an optional extra, and tick all the right boxes: Alde 24hr programmable central heating, cab air con, cruise control, rear view camera, Sky-view ® sunroof, 175L Smart Energy fridge freezer, extractor fan, ceramic toilet, granite effect sinks … the list sets new standards in specification!
Elddis crusade for motorhome safety, as the only UK manufacturer to provide a seatbelt for every designated passenger has also struck a chord with the buying public.
On the winning Aspire 265 model, Practical Motorhome says: “Corner-bed motorhomes are popular, yet some fail as four-berths, due to the compromises of the washroom, kitchen space and lounge bed design. Elddis has risen to all of these challenges and created one of the best four-berth corner-bed ‘vans on sale in Europe.”
