Quality Appointments for Elddis

Continuing to strive for excellence and top quality in manufacturing, Elddis has announced two new posts to its Quality and Technical Department.

David Whitehead has been promoted to a totally new role as Homologation Manager and Trevor Hutchinson has been welcomed as the next Quality Engineer in the Quality Assurance and Technical Department.

David Whitehead has worked with Elddis for over seven years. His first role with the company started as Group Technical Manager, then Quality Assurance and Technical Manager, and now to the new role of Homologation Manager (which seems to be a bit of a tongue twister to pronounce!).

David said "As Elddis has successfully grown over the years and strives to become a world class manufacturer; it has become apparent that a dedicated technical role was required to ensure we are meeting European legislation and technical standards.

"I am delighted to be given the opportunity to take this new position and dedicate my skills and enthusiasm with a company and team I enjoy working with”.

David will be tasked with representing the company on technical issues, ensuring vehicles meet regulatory standards and legal requirements, ensuring that the company adheres to technical best practice and purchases and installs appliances complying European and British standards.

Trevor Hutchinson is a new face to Elddis, after seven years in the oil and gas industry as Project Engineer where he gained valuable experience in quality assurance. He has been appointed as Quality Engineer and brings to the role extensive experience in ISO renewal, investigative skills in quality concerns and quality assurance, from test plans to certification of final products.

Trevor is delighted with his new role saying, "I joined Elddis knowing that quality across the board is key to their ongoing success. I'm really looking forward to putting my experience and skills to further use.”

Trevor accepted the challenging role which couples a wide remit of duties from developing the current quality system registration to ISO9000-2000, assisting in the advancement of engineering concerns solutions and to reviewing current practices, implementing quality audits and setting quality standards.
