As a global company operating in the automotive and commercial vehicle components industry, BPW Bergische Achsen Kommanditgesellschaft develops and produces complete chassis and suspension systems for the semitrailer and trailer industry.



With expertise stretching back over 100 years, the company manufactures running gear for heavy goods applications, agricultural vehicles and machinery, car and light truck trailers, caravans, industrial machinery and plant on behalf of its customers all over the world. Production is centred on heavy duty axles. BPW produces these axles at its wholly owned plants in Italy, Hungary, South Africa and China as well as at its facilities in Germany. The product range includes axles with drum and disc brakes, air and leaf suspension, swinging and steering axles. BPW is Europe's number 1 in this core business.
As well as its technical expertise, BPW offers a well equipped and trained network of more than 2200 service partners who are available to be contacted round the clock.

With a global workforce of approx. 4500 in 29 locations, BPW achieves sales of more than 1.1 bn Euros. The company headquarters (workforce approx. 1650) is located in Wiehl, Germany.
