The Caravan Club Elddis of the Year 2005

Now in its fourth year, this prestigious award, presented by The Caravan Club and sponsored by Elddis, recognises the special achievements of touring trailblazers.



For the 2005 Awards there will be four categories:

The Caravan Club Domestic Elddis of the Year
The Caravan Club European Elddis of the Year
The Caravan Club Worldwide Elddis of the Year
The Caravan Club Special Achievement Elddis of the Year


The winners will be announced on Saturday 18th February during an evening function at the Metropole Hotel in Birmingham to co-incide with the National Boat Caravan and Outdoor Show.

The awards recognise the achievements of anyone who has undertaken a fantastic or unusual journey whilst enjoying their passion for touring. The following is a breakdown of the scope of the award categories:

The Caravan Club Domestic Elddis of the Year
Have you toured extensively in the UK in 2005, visited more sites or travelled more miles than anyone else?

The Caravan Club European Elddis of the Year
Is the UK too close to home? Have you toured Europe from seaside to mountain top and far flung capital city?

The Caravan Club Worldwide Elddis of the Year
Have you undertaken an exceptional journey spanning continents or visiting the most exotic of locations whilst towing your caravan or driving your motorhome?

The Caravan Club Special Achievement Elddis of the Year
Have you taken a caravan or motor caravan to the extremes, used your vehicle in a very unusual or exceptional charity fund raising way or beaten the odds and battled with difficulties to complete an expedition?
