Learn To Manoeuvre In County Durham
Encouraging safe driving and proper handling of touring caravans and motorhomes, Elddis has teamed up with The Caravan Club to launch a series of driving courses, the first in County Durham.
The course instruction is led by Mark Garfoot, a qualified driving instructor who has also been caravanning for the past 20 years. "The courses are designed for those who are interested in learning how to tow caravans to experienced drivers who would like to build their confidence in manoeuvring both caravans and motorhomes. The one and a half day courses include classroom work, practical demonstrations and exercises.”
Michael Hold, Marketing Director at Elddis explains why the courses are available. "Working with The Caravan Club, we are excited to be hosting such an intensive course for those interested in brushing up on their driving skills or that are new to the whole touring lifestyle. We are interested in improving the overall touring experience by raising the standards within the industry from general knowledge, driving skills to road safety.” Elddis will also be hosting tours of the factory where over 6,500 caravans and motorhomes are produced annually.
The courses will be held on Elddis premises, Delves Lane, Consett. Courses include: Practical Caravanning, Caravan Manoeuvring and Motor Caravan Driving Courses and will run on selected dates until October 2005.
