Elddis received the National SaBRE (Supporting Britain's Reservists and Employers) certificate in recognition of its continued support for local reservist and member of the Elddis team, Stewart Whitfield.

Stewart, a Caravan Line Team Leader at Elddis, is a member of the reserve forces and has recently been deployed to both Kosavo and Iraq.

The Elddis has ensured that during these lengthy periods of deployment his job within the company has been kept open, and also maintains regular contact with Stewart and his family.

As Sharon Maclean, Human Resources Manager at Elddis explained, "The reservist forces of this country perform a vital function, and never has this been more evident than in the current climate.

"As responsible employers we must support the work they do whenever we can and by ensuring that reservist's like Stewart can be deployed without worrying about their employment back home, we are doing our bit to ensure that the amazing role they perform in areas like Kosavo and Iraq can continue.”

The certificate was presented by Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant for County Durham, Sir Paul Nicholson in a ceremony held at The Royal Marines Reserve Tyne, on Newcastle's Quayside.
