Elddis Scoops Prestigious 2010 Which Caravan Awards

Brand new Elddis models have excelled this year in the 2010 Which Caravan awards.

The all-new Crusader Tempest, a unique layout launched for the first time in September, has won the title Best Family Caravan over £13,500. The Tempest sets a new benchmark for family caravanning with an ingenious new layout: fixed triple bunks, a four-seater side dinette (single bed conversion) and front parallel dinette - all with class-leading space and specification. The Tempest, subject to much praise in the caravanning press and already a top-seller, was also the runner up in Which's Caravan of the Year category.

According to Which Caravan, 'not only does the Tempest pass the test of each discipline in how to provide for the six people its supposed to accommodate, it then goes on to better it again - and by some margin. This is about as far as caravan brilliance will get.'

Yet another Elddis family caravan - and another new layout - was the runner up in the Best Family Caravan under £13,500. Its latest review in Which Caravan rates the Xplore 596 as 'a practical family caravan that gives truly enough space for six to eat, sleep, make meals, shower, lounge about and store their equipment without a problem. With this model, unlike smaller six berths, you can holiday happily without the need for an awning. And that's a real bonus, especially when you consider you get all this for £13,495'.

Elddis also cleaned up in the bathroom stakes, too, with top-of-the-range couples van - the Crusader Hurricane - taking the Best Washroom category for its slick styling and creature comforts. Which Caravan were impressed with the Hurricane's 'massive washroom and premium level style and furnishings.' With tiled-effect double shower cubicle and abundant dressing area 'this is one to take to pitches with limited services and ralliers are going to love it'.
